i-Ready – Reading

Students at Lincoln, in both the Montessori and Traditional programs, grades K-6, are assessed on their reading abilities using i-Ready diagnostic assessments three times a year – in the fall, winter, and spring. This diagnostic assessment provides teachers and staff instructional information about a student’s reading abilities.

Students performing significantly below grade level and qualifying for a READ Plan are assessed monthly on shorter growth monitoring assessments. More information on READ Plans and the READ Act can be found here.

Additionally, teachers can assign online reading lessons for students who need additional support that targets their needs as identified by the assessments students have taken.

i-Ready – Math

Students at Lincoln, in both the Montessori and Traditional programs, grades 3-6, are assessed on their math abilities using i-Ready diagnostic assessments three times a year – in the fall, winter, and spring. This diagnostic assessment provides teachers and staff instructional information about a student’s math abilities.

Students performing below grade-level may participate in shorter growth monitoring assessments on a monthly basis.

All traditional students grades 3-5 have access to i-Ready online lessons and complete lessons for 45 minutes a week, usually 3, 15 minute sessions each week, as part of the Ready Math curriculum. Montessori students can have access to the online math lessons at their teacher’s discretion.
