Lincoln Ledger
Caught in the Act Students

A NOTE FROM PRINCIPAL SHELLEY DULSKY . . .

Hello Lincoln Lynx Families –

It’s hard to believe that the first month of our school year has come to an end. Our Lincoln Lynx students have settled into the new year, and the rhythm of learning and growing has become our wonderful daily routine.

As we build relationships, we continue to empower our students to become highly valued contributors to our school community and culture.  One of the ways we do this is by recognizing acts of kindness that benefit our whole school.  We recognize students’ contributions by awarding them “Caught in the Act” tickets. Students receive these tickets when they demonstrate one of our school values.  Our school values include:

  • Respect
  • Caring
  • Inclusiveness
  • Integrity
  • Responsibility
  • Courage

When students receive a Caught-in-the-Act ticket, they bring it to the front office and add it to our collection jar.  As you can see from the photo, our jar is overflowing!  We ring a recognition bell when each ticket is placed in the jar.  We will create a Lincoln values chain to wrap in and around our hallways with our tickets, forming a great reminder of all the good things we are all doing to make Lincoln so special.

Ms. Heidi Rose has been coordinating our Caught-in-the-Act celebrations this year.  A few of our many students who have received recognition so far this year (and are pictured above) include:

  • Korah – for helping quiet the lunch room!
  • Karson – for going above and beyond to help clean his classroom (cleaning up for other students!)
  • Calia – for taking part of her recess time to bring the equipment back inside the building

Please ask your student about their contributions to our school community.  Everyone is doing something great!

Warmly,

Principal Shelley Dulsky
