Laps for Lincoln: We Crushed our Goal!

Posted October 13, 2022

To our amazing Lincoln community,

Thank you very much for your generous donations. We crushed our goal and raised $41,216, almost 50% more than last year (and 37% above our goal)!

Two classes win pizza parties! Ms. Sheela’s Primary Montessori class wins for the most funds raised, and Ms. Wright’s third grade class wins the school spirit award for their fantastic tie-dye theme. Additionally, the fastest runners in each grade will receive a Lincoln Lynx t-shirt and a winning pin.

Since we hit our school-wide goal, our students will collaborate with Coach Green to select fun new equipment for the school, like a new game, gym balls, or hula hoops!

It is amazing what we can accomplish when we work together. We had 320 individuals donate to Laps for Lincoln from over 30 states and overseas! Thank you for tapping your personal networks to support our school. Please share this email with any family or friends who may have donated—we are so grateful for their support!

The funds raised by our PTSA directly support your child:

  • We pay the salary of 2.1 paraprofessionals who support our students by lowering student-teacher ratios, providing individualized instruction, helping our teachers and nurturing social-emotional growth.
  • We fund a portion of Lincoln’s enrichment/GT teacher’s time so all K-6 students can visit the innovation lab weekly.
  • We support field trips, scholarships for quality after-school programs, teacher support, and school-wide events.

In gratitude,
Lincoln’s PTSA Board
