Lincoln Friends and Families-
You may have heard Superintendent Cordova’s announcement that Kinder and 1st grade students will be the next group of students to return for in-person learning.
For Lincoln students this means that Mrs. Smith’s Kindergarten class and Ms. Heidi’s 1st grade class will be returning for in-person learning starting the week of September 28th. Our other classes will remain in Remote Learning until October.
Starting September 29th students will gradually return to school through a staggered start- meaning that will will slowly bring students back into the building in order to build routines safely. Teachers will let families know the exact date their child will be reporting to Lincoln. (September 28th is a student non-contact day.)
The week of October 5th all Kinder and 1st grade students will be back in classrooms for in-person learning.
Starting October 12, we will begin the gradual return for our 2nd- 5th grade classes and Montessori Lower Elementary and Upper Elementary classes with the focus again on safely establishing routines and norms. Teachers will let families know the exact date their child will be reporting to Lincoln.
All students will be at Lincoln for in-person learning starting Wednesday, October 21st.
Lincoln teachers and staff will use the non-student contact days of October 16th, 19th and 20th as days to prepare for in-person learning.
DPS will continue to monitoring local health data, to indicate that it is safe to return to school.
Before students return for in-person learning we will host a Lincoln Town-Hall for families to learn about the health and safety precautions that are in place.
If families have opted for the Virtual Academy this year, more information will be shared soon. If you have not already done so, please complete the addendum to the Annual Family Update to indicate your preference of in-person or virtual learning for the year. This is critical information to help us plan for the coming year.
Please continue to reach out with questions.
In gratitude-
Emily Clark
Principal
