February Newsletter

January has been action packed and February promises more of the same.   We started the month with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. studies and learned more about how to be Peace makers.    This has been a school wide effort and I am proud of all the children’s work toward this goal and for the support parents have shown.   January also found us studying the continent of Asia which culminated in our celebration of the Chinese New Year.   Thanks to our parent helpers and to all parents who were able to come watch our parade and cheer us on.  February finds us finishing our study of amphibians and moving on to reptiles, dinosaurs, and fossils.   We will also begin our study of planets.   In the Practical Life area we will be adding banana cutting and clothes washing.   Even though February is a short month, we are going to fill it to the brim.
